In winter enjoy a small but pleasant skiing area, the many hikiing trails and excursions with snowshoes or tourskies, a natural skating rink, a cross-country ski trail and once a week a crazy tobogganning from the Crêt-du-Midi down to the village. In summer, Vercorin offers you beautiful nature ! Discover the many pedestrian paths and the splendid natural reserve of the Vallon de Réchy, or enjoy a tour with a mountain bike or a descent with a scooter from the Crêt-du-Midi. As for the most adventurous people no doubt they will be attempted by the famous Adventure Forest, the Circuit of the 3 Bisses, or even a paragliding flight above the valley of the Rhone.
In winter as well as in summer Vercorin is a centre of paragliding because of the air currents that can be found there and because of the excellent access facilities. A free car park in the valley, 7 min. with cable car and 800m in height difference !! In high season you will have in fact 1800 m in height difference in, departing from the Crêt-du-Midi.
You will enjoy a pleasant time in the old village of Vercorin perched on the Mountain, which has even been a source of inspiration for the famous painter Edouard Vallet. The village with its many old chalets, renovated raccards and other former barns will carry you away into a typical Valaisan environment.
Vercorin also proposes rare events or sporting events during the year, such as the “Press Drawing Exhibition in the mountains” or the excursion “EcoTraces” in winter, “Mating rituals of the deer” in autumn, the “Papival Bike Tour” in spring or “VercoJazz” in summer, and still many others.
