The repair work announced at the informational meeting on August 17, 2026, is proceeding as planned.
At this stage, the various parties involved have confirmed that the projected timelines remain on track. The facility is therefore still scheduled to reopen in early December 2026.
Until then, the shuttle service established to provide transportation between Chalais and Vercorin will remain unchanged.
We would also like to inform you that the costs will be covered by insurance and the funding partners (the canton and the federal government).

A malfunction detected in the cable car’s electric drive system has necessitated the suspension of operations on the Chalais-Vercorin Cable Car.
