National Day

Despite the ban on open fires, which has led to the cancellation of the traditional fireworks display, the celebrations will go ahead as planned! Music, entertainment, tasty treats and a light show await you as we celebrate our National Day together in a friendly and festive atmosphere. There’s something for everyone, young and old alike, throughout the day.

From 11.00 am – Start of the festivities:

- The canteen and bar open at Parc à Moutons
- Activities for children
- Artisanal ice cream with Le Tourbillon Glacé

Entertainment in the village centre:

- 11.30 am–12.30 pm: Performance by the Vercorin Alps Horn Ensemble
- 1.30 pm – 2.15 pm: Concert by Le Moulin à Vents
- 2.30 pm – 3.00 pm: Musical entertainment by Francis Rudaz and Jacques Antille
- 4.00 pm – 4.30 pm: Performance by the Vercorin Alps Horn Ensemble
- 4.30 pm – 5.00 pm: Musical entertainment by the L’Avenir de Chalais brass band
- 5.00 pm – 6.00 pm: Official ceremony in the village square: speech by Mr Cédric Jossen, Lord of Tourbillon Castle – theatre director, actor and storyteller, musical entertainment, the national anthem and a toast hosted by the municipality of Chalais
- 8.00 pm – 9.30 pm: Children’s disco on stage
- 10.00 pm: Circus performance by pupils from the Circ’a’Sierre school, followed by a light show by Philippe and Hichem from Diamastreet

1.00 am: End of the event and closure of the bar at Parc à Moutons

IMPORTANT: In accordance with current restrictions, the use of pyrotechnic devices (fireworks, Bengal lights, firecrackers, etc.) is strictly prohibited.

Due to the closure of the Chalais–Vercorin cable car, an extra bus will run from Chalais at 11.00 pm and from Vercorin at 11.30 pm.
