‘Life, Infinitely’, Edouard Vallet with Berclaz from Sierre

The exhibition marking the 150th anniversary of Edouard Vallet’s birth celebrates the vision of an artist whose work is timeless and universal.
In his paintings, drawings and engravings, Vallet highlights the essential and the existential. The exhibition is enriched by works by the contemporary visual artist Berclaz from Sierre. Both artists explore the themes of birth, destiny and death at the heart of nature and the cosmos: Life, infinitely.

The exhibition is accompanied by a programme of cultural outreach and events:

- 4 July at 4pm: opening
- 11 July and 5 September from 4pm to 6pm: sketching walk with Alexia Turlin, artist and mountain guide. A drawing workshop on a walk inspired by the exhibition.
- 18 July, 5pm: guided tour with Pascal Ruedin, exhibition curator, and Berclaz de Sierre, guest artist
- 16 August: 150th anniversary celebrations: 10.30 am – printmaking workshop for children aged 6 and over; from 1.30 pm – demonstration of Edouard Valler’s press by Catherine McCready and Pierre-Yves Gabioud; 4 pm – guided tour with Pascal Ruedin, accompanied by songs from Marc Aymon; 7 pm – Classical music concert conducted by Patrick Crispini, featuring Brigitte Balleys and Marie Sirot
- 24 August at 4.00 pm: tour for people with visual impairments with the Allons voir association
- 29 August at 5.00 pm: guided tour with Pascal Ruedin
- 13 September at 4pm: closing event with a reading of extracts from C.F. Ramuz’s novel *Jean-Luc persécuté* by Salma Gisler
