Sous les jupes

"Sous les jupes" is a dance-theatre piece that invites the audience on a dreamlike, almost initiatory journey towards stripping away, revelation and liberation. It is the story of this woman — or perhaps that one — from one era or another, who, one day, finds herself confronted with her own flaws. Shapes form and dissolve; bodies take shape and contort to convey the unspeakable: what weighs us down, what hammers away at us, what leaps out at us. A deeply feminist story, but also one that is completely and simply human.

With a lampshade on her head, this elegant, stately lady offers us a glimpse into her innermost self: shame, guilt, the weight of stereotypes, and instinctive thoughts as an involuntary escape from taboos. These depths are explored and embodied with poetry and humour. Her flaws are indeed vulnerabilities, but they allow the light to shine through. Objects, text, dance; artistic languages converge and accompany the story in this ethereal, poetic and at times burlesque or even grotesque world.

On Saturday, a workshop focusing on movement, dance and creation will take place, inviting participants to delve into the heart of the sensitive material that inspired our show "Sous les Jupes". This is not about learning a choreography, but about experiencing a living creative process. The central theme of these two hours will be the exploration of intimacy in its rawest and most contradictory form. How can the body make visible what is happening inside?

On the programme: mindful warm-up, guided improvisation and theatrical exercises to bring out your truth through movement. No imposed techniques, but a search for authenticity and letting go in a supportive environment.
