The famous Dérupe route linking the two villages of the Chalais municipality, Chalais and Vercorin via Briey, offers ideal training for mountain races. The route partially follows the Chalais-Vercorin cable car, which can be used for descending.
After crossing part of the village of Chalais, you will be able to admire it from the heights. Along the trail, let yourself be surprised by a breathtaking panorama. From Sierre to Réchy, the view promises to be impressive. Pass by the vineyards of the Mathieu estate, then cross the forest towards Briey. Take back the old Chalais-Vercorin road path which goes through the forest before reaching the Bouillet chapel, which you can take the time to admire. Finally, reach the Vercorin station by once again crossing the forest and its secrets, then walk along the lower part of the village of Vercorin before arriving at its heart.
