Cable car Chalais-Vercorin

Update from August 17: The suspension of service on the Chalais–Vercorin cable car has been extended until at least early December.

This connection between the valley and the mountain takes you from Chalais to Vercorin—or vice versa—in just 7 minutes. 

Free parking (max. 8 hours) is available at the cable car’s valley station in Chalais.

Due to a detected malfunction in the cable car’s electric drive system, operations on the Chalais–Vercorin cable car must be suspended.
 
To compensate for this suspension, a replacement bus service is being set up immediately, in addition to the regular bus routes. You can find the schedules below.
 
We will keep you updated on how the situation develops and thank you for your understanding.

Schedule

The gondola lift is open all year round and operates at the following times:

Morning
5:45, 6:00, 6:30, 6:45, 7:00, 7:15, 7:30 am

Day
8:00 am to 8:00 pm, 1 trip every 15 minutes apart from at 10:15 am and 4:30 pm.

Evening
8:30, 9:00, 9:30 pm

Additional trip on weekends (new from January 10, 2025)
Friday evening: 10:00 pm, 10:45 pm, 12:00 am, 12:30 am
Saturday evening: 10:00 pm, 10:45 pm, 12:00 am, 12:30 am

Transport service suspended on the following dates, from 9am to 4.45pm:

Practical information

Magic Pass

The Chalais-Vercorin cable car is not included in the Magic Pass.
However, in winter only, the Société de la Télécabine offers all Magic Pass users the opportunity to use the installation free of charge subject to the conditions below.
 
Conditions of validity :

Only for people going to the ski area AND using the facilities on the same day.
Only on days when the ski area is open in winter.
Valid only from 8.30 am to go up.
Valid only from 11.00 am to return.
You must present your Magic Pass each time you use the cable car.
