Cable car Chalais-Vercorin

This link between the plain and the mountain transports you from Chalais to Vercorin or vice-versa in just 7 minutes. 
Free parking (max. 8 hours) is available at the gondola lift station in Chalais. 
 

Outage information - From October 25, 2025

INFORMATION – 27 NOVEMBER:
The cable car will be back in service by 12 December at the latest. We will provide you with further information as soon as possible, depending on the progress of the work carried out by external companies.

Regular bus lines and shuttles operate from Monday to Friday. During weekends, only the regular bus lines are running.

As a reminder, the shuttles put in place to address the situation serve only the following route (round trip):
Vercorin (Post Office) → Briey (stop at “Brieytchon”, except for school services, which stop at the “Molok”) → Chalais (usual stop “Chalais – Cable Car”, except for school services, which stop directly at the cable car parking area in Chalais).

The shuttle timetables are posted on our website at www.vercorin.ch/tele, on our social media channels, and at all public transport access points between Chalais and Vercorin.
The regular bus lines operate as usual, and their timetables can be found at www.sbb.ch.

We are aware of the inconvenience caused by this incident, but we would like to assure you that everything is being done to guarantee the safety of our customers.

Furthermore, we can confirm that the technical file for the new cable car is progressing as planned and that—provided no objections are submitted—the construction work could begin during the second half of 2026.

Schedule

The gondola lift is open all year round and operates at the following times:

Morning
5:45, 6:00, 6:30, 6:45, 7:00, 7:15, 7:30 am

Day
8:00 am to 8:00 pm, 1 trip every 15 minutes apart from at 10:15 am and 4:30 pm.

Evening
8:30, 9:00, 9:30 pm

Additional trip on weekends (new from January 10, 2025)
Friday evening: 10:00 pm, 10:45 pm, 12:00 am, 12:30 am
Saturday evening: 10:00 pm, 10:45 pm, 12:00 am, 12:30 am


Maintenance
Transport service suspended on the following dates, from 9am to 4.45pm: Groups
Special trips for group outings and evenings on request.

Practical information

Magic Pass

The Chalais-Vercorin cable car is not included in the Magic Pass.
However, in winter only, the Société de la Télécabine offers all Magic Pass users the opportunity to use the installation free of charge subject to the conditions below.
 
Conditions of validity :

Only for people going to the ski area AND using the facilities on the same day.
Only on days when the ski area is open in winter.
Valid only from 8.30am to go up.
Valid only from 11.00 am to return.
You must present your Magic Pass each time you use the cable car.
