It's all a matter of perspective - Step 3

Bus stop - the world turned upside down

Hint:

What you see is never what you look at. To see the box, trust the mirror!

Did you know?

Road mirrors are curved to widen the field of vision. This curved shape causes a distortion of space, an illusion: reflected objects appear smaller and further away. Car rear-view mirrors work in much the same way.
Here in Vercorin, this mirror becomes your portal: look inside and you will see the box where your eye would never have thought to look for it.

Question:

In a traffic mirror, why do objects appear farther away than they really are?

A)      Because the surface of the mirror is curved.
B)      Because objects are moving.
C)      Because our eyes do not see well in a mirror.
D)      Because light travels more slowly through air.
