On Friday 30 October, traffic in Vercorin will be significantly disrupted.
As part of the 66th Valais International Rally, the cantonal and local authorities have granted permission to close the Chalais–Vercorin and Vercorin–Nax roads to all traffic. The map attached below shows the exact route affected.
The road closures will take place on Friday 30 October from 07.45 to 13.00 and from 14.00 to 19.00.
A partnership has been established with the Waze app, which is designed to report traffic disruptions. All road closures and the associated timings will be integrated into the system and will also be displayed on Google Maps, making it easier to search for routes using GPS. Rhône FM will also be the main source of updates on disruptions and on-the-ground information during the race days and in the days leading up to them, to remind listeners which roads and access points will be closed.
As the route comprises special stages, we ask that, for your own safety and that of the competitors, you strictly comply with the road closures mentioned.
In the event of an emergency, marshals stationed at key points along the route will be able to assist you and advise you on what to do.
