VercoSki

If you want to see how fit you are at the start of the season, Vercoski is for you! The idea, loosely based on the Millets Cup, is to accumulate as much elevation gain as possible in a single day.

Schedule:
08:00 Briefing (Lavioz Sports Center)
- Final registration (entry fee CHF 50.– cash + signed waiver)
- Collection of the bags that will be transported to Crêt-du-Midi
08:30 Start
15:00 End of the race (Crêt-du-Midi) + meal + prize giving

Point Allocation:
- 1,000 pts for the climb from Vercorin to Crêt-du-Midi via Santa Maria (climb 1)
- 1,000 pts for the climb from Vercorin to the Arolles mountain hut via Tracuit (climb 2) – CLOSED
- 500 pts for the climb from the Arolles hut to Crêt-du-Midi (climb 3)
- 500 pts for the climb from Sigéroulaz to Crêt-du-Midi (climb 4)
- 250 pts for the climb from Les Planards to Crêt-du-Midi (climb 5)
- 3,000 bonus pts if climbs 1, 2, 3, 4, and 5 are all completed
- 500 pts per landing at the Lavioz refreshment stand, in Sigéroulaz (mid-station), and at Les Planards.
- 4 types of landings are possible: a target of about 20 m in diameter where the first ski contact must occur, a line on the ground that must be crossed on skis before the wing touches the ground, a pole that must be touched while flying or skiing before the wing touches the ground, a zone defined by two lines where you must land without touching the lines, plus other challenges
- 250 pts for the last pilot to arrive at Crêt-du-Midi on the first climb and who collected 25 marking flags

Penalty of 5,999 pts if you are not at Crêt-du-Midi by 15:00 or if ski lifts are used
The final ranking will be based on the total number of points collected. In case of a tie, the arrival time at Crêt-du-Midi will be used as a tiebreaker.

Rules:
- All climbs must be done exclusively on the marked ski touring routes (rando parks).
- Take-offs are allowed only from Crêt-du-Midi.
- You must report to the organization at every arrival at Crêt-du-Midi (blue tent with Twist’Air logo).
- Crêt-du-Midi is a busy take-off area. Taking part in Vercoski does not give you priority over other paragliders. The same applies if you ski down: there will be skiers on the slopes, so caution and respect are essential.
- The number of rando parks is limited only by your physical condition.
- You must be reachable at all times (phone charged and turned on).
- And OBVIOUSLY, all airspace regulations applicable to free flight must be respected (penalty or even disqualification).

Other Information:
- Refreshments (broth + tea) available at Crêt-du-Midi and in Tracuit, but you must bring your own cup.
