With its 365-degree view, the Brentaz offers a stunning setting.
Start this hike by going to Crêt du Midi using the gondola starting from Vercorin. Once there, walk towards the summit of the Brentaz, passing Mont Major. To reach it, you will follow the ridge with breathtaking views over the entire Vallon de Réchy, the peaks of the Val d'Anniviers, and the Rhône plain. On this trail, you will not find big climbs, some passages are a bit more complicated but have been equipped with chains. Once you reach the highest point of the hike, climb to the summit of the Brentaz which offers a panoramic view of Zinal and its peaks, the Vallon de Réchy and its various terraces, the Diablerets, the Plaine Morte glacier, ... Finally, cross a few more chains before gently descending into the Vallon de Réchy region and then returning to your starting point at Crêt-du-Midi.
