With its 365 degree view, the Brentaz offers a breathtaking setting.
Start this hike by going to the Crêt du Midi with the gondola that leaves from Vercorin. Once there, walk towards the summit of the Brentaz, passing by Mont Major. To get there, you will follow the ridge with breathtaking views over the entire Vallon de Réchy, the peaks of the Val d'Anniviers and the plain of the Rhône. On this trail you will not find any big climbs, some passages are a little more complicated, but they have been equipped with chains. Once you reach the highest point of the hike, climb to the summit of the Brentaz, which offers you a panoramic view of Zinal and its summits, the Vallon de Réchy and its different levels, Les Diablerets, the Plaine Morte glacier, ... To finish, cross a few more chains before gently descending into the Vallon de Réchy region and then finding your arrival point at the Crêt-du-Midi.
