The Association Artisanale et Culturelle de Vercorin aims to help maintain activities in the village center through occasional events. It has also opened a creative hobby workshop in the village center, opposite the Hôtel des Mayens. It works with the various village societies and Vercorin Tourisme.
Our craft and cultural activities
Les hivernales et estivales artisanales: craft market with Valais artisans during the high seasons at the Parc à Moutons.
The health - nature - crafts market: usually held every two years at the end of July in the streets of Vercorin and on the festival square.
The Christmas market takes place on the first weekend in December, at the Maison Bourgeoisiale, in the Parc à Moutons and on the central square. During this market, St. Nicolas comes to visit us on Sunday afternoons.
4 exhibitions are organized during the year: in February, July-August, October and during the festive season. These are mainly painting, watercolor and photography exhibitions. They last between 3 and 5 weeks in summer.
A piano concert is organized in early August at the church. Classical music lovers come together.
Occasionally, a Gospel concert is organized during the Advent season.
Creative leisure workshop
Craft workshops are organized for children aged 4 to 12 once a week on Saturdays, and 3 times a week in high season.
A knitting workshop is organized every Wednesday afternoon for locals, tourists and R2. Just bring your knitting, no registration required.
Children's craft workshops are also held during events such as the Fête des Rois, Carnaval, Easter, the Marché Santé-Nature-Artisanat, during Gospel week, the Désalpe, Halloween and the Christmas market. They are offered to children either by the organizing Society or by Ascave.
