It's all a matter of perspective - step 1

The cable car - Where it all begins

Hint:

Many look up towards the cabins. But if you want to find the box, look where the journey still touches the earth.
Look at the place where gravity and vertigo shake hands.

Did you know?

The Chalais-Vercorin cable car revolutionised village life in 1951. Before that, people had to climb the mountain on foot or by mule: a two-hour trek covering an 800-metre elevation gain. From the cabin, the world changes scale: the landscape flattens out, villages become dots, roads become lines. This is atmospheric perspective: the further away an object is, the more the contrasts fade. This is how Renaissance painters gave depth to their landscapes by imitating what mountains naturally do to your gaze.

Question:

If you put your finger in front of the mountain, it looks bigger than it is. How is this possible?

A)      Because the cabin enlarges your reflection.
B)      Because the mountain is further away from the sun.
C)      Because it is closer to your eye.
D)      Because your finger grows larger at altitude.
