This treasure hunt was devised by the Edouard Vallet Foundation. Its main aim is to showcase the work and legacy of Edouard Vallet and his wife Marguerite Vallet-Gilliard. The house that now houses the foundation remained in the family until 2011, when it was bequeathed to the Edouard Vallet Foundation. Renovated and refurbished in 2012–2013, it now houses an exhibition space dedicated not only to the works of the Vallet-Gilliards, but also to other artists, particularly emerging ones.
In addition to its summer exhibitions, the Foundation also organises cultural outreach activities and events (guided tours, talks, readings, concerts, etc.), contributes to publications and collaborates with various cultural institutions.
